It is truly disheartening when animals are cruelly abandoned by their owners. Fortunately, there are kind-hearted individuals who are willing to give these pets a second chance at a better life.
Recently, this was the case for two husky puppies who were tossed out of a truck and left in a terrible condition. However, their remarkable recovery story has a happy ending – they have been adopted and now have a loving home.
The Jackson County Animal Shelter in Michigan shared a video last month depicting a man in a blue Dodge truck callously discarding two husky puppies over a 6-foot fence onto the shelter’s property.
Both dogs were injured and severely emaciated, displaying clear signs of neglect. They were dangerously underweight, suffering from malnutrition and parasites. These poor pups, aged around 6 months, had endured a life of hardships. One of them is a male, while the other is female.
The shelter immediately appealed to the public for information to help identify who abandoned these near-death dogs. Luckily, a concerned individual provided a tip that led investigators to the owner, as reported by WILX. Although the owner admitted to abandoning the puppies, it is uncertain whether they will face any charges.
In the meantime, the husky pups began their journey to recovery. They were placed in foster care together and slowly started gaining the weight they desperately needed. Weeks after being abandoned, there was incredible news – the dogs have been adopted!
“From suffering from neglect, malnutrition, and parasites, then being thrown over a fence…these 2 survivors are now ready to live their best life in a loving home!” shared the Jackson County Animal Shelter on October 6th.
The shelter later confirmed, in a statement to FOX Television Stations, that the puppies have been adopted as a pair and will continue their recovery and weight gain in their new home.
It is heart-wrenching to think that anyone would treat their dogs in such a manner. However, we are immensely grateful that these beautiful huskies have made an astonishing recovery and have found a new home together.
