Jim Parsons added in a comment that did not sit well with Rihanna.
Jim Parsons angered his co-star Rihanna during an interview when he questioned her inability to whistle.
Rihanna was also annoyed by Parsons randomly singing her songs, saying it gave her chills in a bad way.
Despite the annoyances, Parsons had a positive experience working with Rihanna on the animated film Home.
When it comes to interviews, Jim Parsons is always highly entertaining. Though at the same time, he can also anger his fellow co-stars. That took place with Kaley Cuoco after he revealed he wasn’t sitting with TBBT cast at the SAG Awards.
We saw Parsons “annoy” another co-star during a particular interview. This time, it was alongside his Home co-star, Rihanna. Although the two share great chemistry during interviews, this moment completely derailed Rihanna.
We’ll reveal what went down between the two, and the other way Parsons annoyed Rihanna.
Rihanna Reacted After Jim Parsons Called Her Out On Not Being Able To Whistle
The animated film Home featured a stacked cast back in 2015. The comedy/sci-fi film featured the likes of Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin. The film received moderate reviews. However, it was a major hit at the box office, bringing in $386 million.
Throughout the making of the film, Rihanna and Jim Parsons developed some great chemistry, and that was especially evident during interviews. However, it seems like Rihanna took exception to one interview moment in particular, as Parsons questioned the actress about not being able to whistle.
The moment takes place after Parsons asks, “What skill or talent would you like to learn?” Rihanna answers, “To whistle.” Parsons reacts, “I can’t either,” which surprises Rihanna.
Just as Rihanna is about to say she feels a lot better, Parsons adds, “I’m really surprised a musician can’t whistle.” At that point, Rihanna answers “What!” with an upset look on her face.
The memorable interview moment can be seen below at the start of the video.
Looking back, it was nothing but love as fans praised the chemistry between the two stars.
“They are so different and it makes them a better duo.” another fan wrote, “Hearing Jim Parsons say he has a “crush” on Rihanna makes me feel so good for some reason, I love it i love it.”
Although they had great chemistry, Parsons revealed that there were other moments that annoyed Rihanna during their time together doing press work.
Rihanna Was Also Annoyed Of Jim Parsons Randomly Singing Her Songs
Speaking alongside EW back in 2015, Jim Parsons talked about his animated debut, and working with co-star Rihanna. It was a dream for Parsons to work with such a talent. However, he admitted that his singing annoyed the artist, particularly because it was her own songs.
Parsons tells EW, “My very favorite is “What’s My Name?” [Sings] Ohh nah nah. I also find myself thinking of “We Found Love” because that’s a fitting song for our two characters. Yesterday it was all “S&M.” I keep busting out certain verses to her, and I thought, “What would I say if she sat next to me for three days straight going, ‘Bazinga, bazinga’ ”? I’d be like, “Could somebody get rid of her, please?” She said at one point that it gives her chills when she hears me sing her songs. And not in a good way. You should see the look on her face when I take my tone-deaf ass to her music.”
Ultimately, it was a positive experience for Parsons alongside Rihanna.
“I wouldn’t say we’re BFFs, but it has been the easiest and most organic time spent together. She’s such a joy to be around. I will say, I think I have been maybe a little irritating. When I’m with her, her songs go through my head a lot of the time.”
Jim Parsons Had A Positive Experience Alongside Rihanna, Making His Animated Debut In, Home
Surprisingly, Jim Parsons had never been offered an animated role prior to his time in, Home. It was a fun experience for the actor, and one he won’t forget.
“No, I hadn’t, and I always wanted to.,” he said about working on an animated project.
“The way this one worked out was crazy. Someone who was a fan of The Big Bang Theory early on approached me—of all people, Marilyn Katzenberg, [DreamWorks Animation CEO] Jeffrey Katzenberg’s wife. Through her, I developed a relationship with both of them. Of course I thought, “What a wonderful opportunity doing a film for DreamWorks could be.” They don’t say, “We like you, here’s one.” The right thing had to come along, and when it did, seven and a half years later, the first thing they did was send me a drawing of Oh.”
It was a big moment for Jim Parsons’ career as just two years later, in 2017, he would become the highest-paid actor in all of television.
