Offset has been crystal clear in the past that he was open to reuniting with his father, who he hadn’t seen since he was four years old.The Migos rapper, 27, reconnected with his dad in a very emotional reunion that was caught on camera and posted on Instagram Friday night.
‘DREAMS DO COME TRUE,’ an obviously excited Offset began in the caption with all caps.
‘HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM. THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON,’ the Georgia native added.
WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!’
The video begins with father and son outside at an unknown location embracing each other in tight hug.
Offset is dressed in black sweatpants, a black t-shirt with his dreads pulled back into a ponytail.
At one point in the video his father begins to slap on Offset’s back in another show of emotion.
With tears flowing, the two men step back to say a few words and engage in a handshake. Within seconds they joined together for another tight embrace.
At the end of the hug, Offset’s father wipes away the tears from his eyes.
It appears the hip-hop star’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club paid off.
During the interview he was candid about not seeing his dad since he was four-years old and that they hadn’t talked since 2016. He even referenced how he had been trying to give his dad some money now that he’s rich.
Offset, who’s real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, grew up with his mother and stepfather in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
