Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have shared the first photos of their newborn son, Riot Rose. The family of four posed together in a series of pictures, including their 16-month-old son RZA. The photos show Rihanna holding Riot while Rocky gazes down at him. They also feature the whole family laughing, walking, and posing together.

Rihanna announced her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show and gave birth to Riot in August 2023. The couple named their son Riot Rose Mayers, and Rihanna described motherhood as fulfilling but challenging.

The couple also included a few photos of the older brother RZA, who stands with the help of one of his parents. RZA wears a tiny leather jacket and looks at the camera.

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their second son in August 2022. Although they didn’t initially share their son’s name or details regarding his birth, PEOPLE obtained his birth certificate later in the month.

The certificate revealed that the couple named their newborn son Riot Rose Mayers. He was born on Aug. 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m.

It is the pair’s second baby name that starts with the letter “R,” and is a possible ode to a family of first names all beginning with the same letter. (Rocky’s legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.)
