People who have never experienced the unconditional love of a pet cannot understand why their place in the home is never up for discussion.Guests in a pet’s home are always welcome, may experience cuddles, odd sounds or smells, fur sharing and a love that comes without demands.
The following story is about what a man did for love when his girlfriend refused to welcome his dog Molly into their home and demanded he give her up.
A few years ago, a Reddit user named Getzen shared a troubling situation he was having with his girlfriend of four years.Ready to take their relationship to the next step, the couple decided to move in together, however, the girlfriend did not like dogs, specifically Molly, the man’s adorable beagle.
Believing she had the upperhand, the girlfriend delivered an ultimatum.

Either she or Molly goes.Torn, the man, from Virginia, placed an ad on Craigslist, a classified ads website, titled: “Free to any willing home.”
Along with a cute photo of the floppy-eared, doe-eyed dog, he writes: “My girlfriend does not like my beagle Molly. So I have to re-home her.”
The Redditor goes on to explain how she’s “a purebred from a wealthy area,” and she “likes to play games,” but isn’t “totally trained.”
The advertisement continues, “Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will never greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!”
If in fact Molly was “mean as hell,” it would explain why the girlfriend didn’t like her.
Plot twist
But, in an epic plot twist, he ads, “So… anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!”
The ad was first shared almost 10 years ago but is still widely circulated.
Before the Reddit post was removed, the man shared an update saying, “Sorry but she has been re-homed, her original breeders (Her Parents) have taken her back home* Molly & I are looking for a new one.”
Whether this was a joke or not, it still gets across the point that nothing will ever come between a pet and their human.
